Our Story

For more than 60 years, Priefert has been designing and manufacturing equipment that serves the people who live the western lifestyle. Founded in 1964 by inventor and rancher Marvin Priefert, the company began with one revolutionary idea—a better way to work cattle. That first gliding-action headgate transformed livestock handling and became the foundation of one of the world's leading manufacturers of farm, ranch, and rodeo equipment.

Today, Priefert remains family owned and operated under its third generation of leadership. While our product line has grown to include cattle, equine, rodeo, canine, poultry, fencing, and arena solutions, our purpose has never changed: build equipment that works as hard as the people who use it.
